About Doft Tools
Doft Tools is provided by PLACE STARS, INC., a United States company incorporated in Delaware. It provides calculation tools and API access for trucking owner-operators. Our mailing address for legal notices is 1887 Whitney Mesa Dr #9277, Henderson, NV 89014, USA.
Questions about these terms or the service can be sent to support@doft.com.
Using the calculator
The cost-per-mile web calculator works with one truck and one month of operating expenses and miles, including loaded and empty miles. You are responsible for choosing accurate inputs, converting annual expenses to monthly amounts, and deciding how to use the result.
A calculation is an estimate based on the values supplied. It does not verify your records or guarantee costs, business outcomes or uninterrupted service. Calculation results and server-side input history are not saved as a personal history.
Free web calculations
Illustrative default quotas: guests and accounts without verified email have up to 10 successful calculations per tool and 30 in total per UTC day. Verified accounts have up to 20 per tool and 60 in total per UTC day. See /pricing for configured public quotas. Signing in does not reset usage. Web calculations do not spend API balance.
The current service has one tool, cost per mile. Daily limits and anti-abuse controls still apply; an unavailable or unknown account status is not a new allowance.
API and USD balance
API access and API key creation are available after email verification. The cost-per-mile API price is $0.005000 per new successful operation. USD balances and charges retain six decimal places.
The free allowance is $1.500000 per organization per UTC calendar month after email verification. It is used before paid balance, does not roll over, and is not renewed by creating another key. Web quotas are separate.
Prepayments, when available in Billing, range from $10.000000 to $500.000000. Paid balance does not expire; overdrafts are not permitted. See /pricing and the API catalog for the current API price. Payment availability is shown in Billing.
Payments and refunds
For new payments, the amount charged equals the amount credited to prepaid API balance: a $10 payment adds $10 to that balance. This applies to manual and automatic top-ups. Any applicable tax is included in that payment, and payment processing fees are our expense. Neither is added to the customer charge or deducted from the API credit. The company is responsible for its tax accounting; included tax does not mean that tax is zero.
Optional automatic top-up starts off. The trigger is an available free-plus-paid balance below $2.000000, with a $20.000000 top-up. Default paid-only spending caps are $10.000000 per UTC day and $100.000000 per UTC month.
Automatic top-up requires separate consent to a saved card, threshold, charge amount and applicable terms. Saving a card does not enable it. You can turn it off in billing settings; turning it off does not cancel a payment already submitted. Changes that require new consent must be confirmed before another automatic charge.
Unused prepaid balance is not ordinarily refundable. Contact support about incorrect or duplicate payments or exceptions required by applicable rules. Approved exceptional refunds are made manually through Stripe and reconciled against API balance. Tax adjustments and processing fees do not create a second deduction from that balance. A bank dispute can pause API access and automatic top-up pending review. Purchases and optional automatic top-up are managed in Billing when available.
Account closure
Account settings support self-service closure when paid balance is zero and no unresolved payments or financial cases prevent it. With remaining paid funds, contact support and explicitly confirm any waiver of the exact remaining balance. Selecting Delete does not itself waive funds or request a card refund.
Closure revokes access and stops new automatic top-ups. Already submitted payments and unresolved cases must still be reconciled. Necessary financial records remain under the retention rules in Privacy; closure does not promise immediate deletion from every provider or backup.
Acceptable use and support
Use your own authorized access. Do not share credentials publicly, attempt to access another account, bypass quotas or security controls, or disrupt the service. Do not put secrets or personal calculator data in support messages or URLs.
Use Contact for help and Privacy for an explanation of data handling. These terms take effect when this version is published.
